Our First Week in December

This week was an exciting one! We got a jump start at the beginning of the week with a fire drill. My students did an amazing job. They knew exactly what to do and where to go. I was very impressed by their calm demeanor during all of the craziness.  This is a picture of us coming in after the drill. 

On Thursday, I decided to allow the students to set up some math centers of  their own in pairs. They had to be reviewing what we have been learning and they had to entertain 2 other students for 10 minutes. The students loved this, and I think they got a lot out of the math review and social skills. I was very proud of the types of activities they came up with. I enjoy seeing their great scores on tests, but seeing them having so much fun while showing me how much they have learned was amazing!
